The Riverhead Experience Terms of Service

All guests arriving to The Riverhead via ferry must be of a reasonable fitness and able to ascend 55 (relatively steep) steps to reach the venue unaided.
There is no elevator and all venues are at the top of said stairs. Please note that we are unable to provide meal or beverage service at the dock.

The ferry operators require a minimum number of confirmed customers to sail, should these minimum numbers not be reached they reserve the right to cancel the service. A full refund will be provided, and as much notice as possible given. Pick up from Birkenhead is for large groups only. Please contact your ferry operator prior to booking to confirm this location.

All our cruises are designed with your safety and comfort in mind. The Riverhead trip cruises in sheltered waters that are workable and comfortable in all weather conditions. We would only cancel a Riverhead cruise in severe cyclonic conditions. In the event of bad weather the Master at his discretion may cancel the Charter in the interests of Passenger safety. If we need to cancel your trip due to bad weather or a break down we will give you the option of a full refund, or rebook to a new date

Cancellations made at least 48 hours prior to your sailing time will receive a refund less a non refundable $3 per person booking/admin fee.
No refunds for cancellations within 48 hours of your sailing time.
If the ferry has had to cancel the trip due to weather or any other unforeseen circumstance, a full refund will be provided

If you wish to re-book another date please contact us on 09 412 8902 at least 48 hours prior to your booked sailing time.  Amendments to your booking within 48 hours will be treated as a last minute cancellation and no refund given.

No drugs, BYO Alcohol, or other illicit substances are permitted on board or at the Riverhead.

No food, beverages nor drugs of any kind are to be brought and consumed on the premises. Nor, due to licensing laws, may you take any alcohol away with you. Footwear is a requirement for entry into the property, and a tidy standard of dress required for diners in the restaurant. The Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 is enforced both onboard the ferries and at The Riverhead. This is in place to cover safe and responsible consumption of alcohol. If you are refused service at The Riverhead due to intoxication you may not be permitted to reboard the boat for the return trip, and you will need to organise your own transport home at your own cost. No refunds will be issued in this instance. Please ensure you are aware of your departure time and allow adequate time to settle your bill before heading back down to the dock.

Whilst we endeavour to seat groups together, please note that groups over 14 will be split over separate tables in The Landing. Out of respect for other diners we ask that groups wishing to mix and mingle do so in the Portage Bar, or hire The Boat House for a private function.  If you are unsure of the best venue for your requirements please call prior to confirming booking.
